GM workflows / GM

Schedule and play a matchup

Submit availability, propose a time, confirm it, and handle changes without losing the game record.

View a team's entire season

/schedule season shows your active team's current season. Use the optional team choice to view any club in the league. The Discord report shows away vs home with team logos, season records and final scores; the winner is bold. Agreed times render in your Discord timezone.

Records are the latest imported record for that season, not the record before each historical game. No imported game can mean either a bye or a missing export; the report does not guess. If an entire schedule is missing, ask staff for an all-weeks Madden refresh. Viewing another team's schedule does not switch your active team or open rooms.

Arrange the game

Open your private game room or the dashboard Schedule card. The two current GMs and league staff can access the relevant scheduling workflow. At least one GM can submit availability to begin; the opponent does not need to finish first.

  1. Check the matchup teams, week and deadline.
  2. Add availability blocks in your saved timezone. Changes save as you work.
  3. Use Finish to send the availability notification; inactivity also closes the entry session after five minutes.
  4. Offer a time within a submitted block.
  5. The opponent confirms or counters. A proposal is not an agreed kickoff until accepted.
  6. Use Coordinate in Chat when direct discussion is easier, then record the agreed time through the supported control.

Change plans or replace an opponent

If a proposal is stale, use the latest card and coordinate with your opponent. Staff can record an agreed time with /schedule set-time; explicit replacement is required if a time is already saved.

After a GM is replaced, staff should inspect room access and use /matchup reset-scheduling when old availability or agreements must be cleared. This clears one matchup's scheduling state. /week reset has a much wider scope.

Start and finish

If participating in the Franchise Credits game-day rewards, both GMs must use Game starting before playing; the first check-in closes betting. A casual chat message is not that check-in.

After playing, report completion through the game card. A user report is provisional until imported Madden data confirms the final score. Staff can veto an incorrect report. Do not use a force-win request as a substitute for an ordinary played-game report.
