Madden data / Commissioner

Connect Madden directly

Link EA securely, choose the correct franchise, and perform the first import.

Connect the franchise

The normal workflow uses the direct EA connection. Companion export links under /madden recovery are backup tools; you do not need the Companion app to maintain a working direct connection.

  1. Run /madden connect in the league server.
  2. Open the private connection link and sign into the intended EA account.
  3. Choose the correct platform and franchise.
  4. Run /madden refresh scope:all-weeks.
  5. Check /madden status for the franchise identity, detected phase, last successful fetch, and dataset coverage.

Reconnect expired authorization

If status says authorization expired or reauthorization is needed, repeat /madden connect, choose the same franchise, and refresh. Reconnecting the same franchise does not require deleting league ownership or starting a new league.

Disconnect removes saved EA access, not the league's imported history. Confirm disconnect only when you intentionally want the connection removed. Never post the connection link, tokens, or backup import URL publicly.

Check commissioner access

/madden commissioner-check reads the live EA hub and reports commissioner access and phase information. It does not advance Madden, boot an EA member, or clear cap penalties. Perform those changes in Madden itself.
