Schedule Madden franchise games in Discord

FranchiseOS gives Madden franchise opponents a shared Discord matchup room for availability, game-time proposals, confirmations, and completion reporting. Commissioners can review the current week and prepare the next without relying on a separate scheduling spreadsheet.

Start with one league clock

Choose the league timezone, week length, and next advance deadline before asking general managers to schedule. The league's operating week and the phase reported by Madden serve different purposes: one coordinates your members, while the other describes imported game data. Check both after a commissioner changes the schedule.

For example, a 24-hour league ending a week on September 4 at 11:30 PM Eastern would plan the following week's finish for September 5 at 11:30 PM Eastern. In September, the first deadline appears as 8:30 PM Pacific. Discord timestamps display in each reader's local timezone, so two members can see different clock times for the same instant. Recheck recurring local times when daylight saving changes.

From availability to a confirmed game

Current and next-week matchup rooms give opponents somewhere to coordinate early. An availability submission is not a confirmed kickoff, and marking a game finished is not the same as importing an official final score.

  1. Each general manager submits availability in the matchup room. Review the displayed deadline and allow enough time to play.
  2. Check the available overlap, discuss any constraints, and propose a game time.
  3. Have the opponent confirm the proposal. Use the reschedule workflow if the agreed time changes, rather than leaving an outdated confirmation in place.
  4. After playing, report the game finished. Check for Madden-confirmed results when the next import completes.
  5. Escalate unresolved matchups through force-win or fair-sim requests so staff can make a documented ruling.

What should a commissioner check before advancing?

Use /week status for the operating week and planned advance, and /week readiness to review scheduling progress. Compare those with /madden status for the imported franchise phase and freshness. Resolve disputed games and unscheduled matchups before advancing the franchise in Madden.

After advancing in Madden, use the league's configured advance workflow. /week advance supports the commissioner workflow; /week set is an advanced repair override, not the normal way to progress through every week. The bot's timing tools coordinate a league but do not press the in-game advance button for you.

What if a matchup room is missing?

Check that you are viewing the intended season and week first. Staff can use /week create-rooms to create or repair the active scheduling horizon, or /week repair-rooms for a selected week. Review any permission or setup warnings instead of repeatedly deleting categories and starting over.

Keep matchup history available when a team changes general manager. Existing availability and confirmations may need discussion with the replacement, but a staffing change should not erase the context of the game. Team access and the Madden schedule are separate concerns.
